Review of The Visitor (1979) by Matthew F. J — 20 Apr 2015
I have just watched this unique goldy from the 1979 era. What a great trippy movie. It's a meeting between Jodorowsky, Paradjanov and Dario Argento all mixed at once with a musical score from beyond the underworld of 80's synthesizer's bling's. Dam that film is a beauty, an oldie and a true visionary film with some amazing ideas and some excellent camera work. The cinematography is good and some shots are extremely well done , that scene in the white staircase was stretched to the maximum and the effect was very efficient. I would hope to see a criterion restored version of this film, the quality could be improved and I can only dream to watch it in IMax 3D...
I hugely advised it to anyone who really enjoy weird, trippy and futuristic-like type of flicks, get ready for a beauty.
