Review of The Virgin Spring (1960) by Riyako H — 12 Oct 2008
This film is very..dense and intense. So many fundamental themes in life are compressd in this one relatively short film, which is amazing. The story line is very simple, but it is extremely disturbing and very serene at the same time.
Utmost despair and hope of salvation coexist in this film, which is just hard to forget. It is just hard to get the shock out of my mind.
