Review of The Virgin Spring (1960) by Stacy G — 18 May 2011
Art house version of the same story from Last House on the Left. In fact, Last House on the Left is close to an exact remake of this film. This film spends a little to much time on the girl and she is not that likable.
The fathers revenge is well played. The biggest difference in this film is that a child is involved with the rapists. This makes the fathers revenge even more horrific. Max von Sydow is always great.
