I've only ever seen J.K. Simmons, Brittany Snow, and Adam Scott in feel-good or silly comedies. I haven't ever doubted their dramatic ability, it had just never occurred to me. All three of them blew me away, especially Scott.
He gives a knockout performance backed by a knockout script. This is one of my favorite indie dramas out there.
