In the seventies, the horror film industry developed a fascination with lesbian vampires, and Vampire Lovers stands above all the rest as my favorite. While not as salicious as later 70s fare such as Jess Franco's Vampyros Lesbos, vampire Lovers injects a modicum of eroticism into a strongly gothic film to create a throughly terrific vampire film.
