Review of The Vampire Lovers (1970) by Tim R — 28 Jul 2009
Lesbian Vampires, that's really all that needs to be said about this film. I could comment on the nice sets and costuming, the beautiful scenery (and women). It could also be mentioned that the relationships between the vampire Mircalla and her "lovers" are underdeveloped but that they do manage to create some erotic charge to certain scenes.
I could a final note mention decent atmosphere in a pretty standard vampire story. I could mention all that, but those first 2 words sum things up, the film hangs on it and while solid can't manage more because it doesn't strive to be anything more.
