Review of The Upside of Anger (2005) by Roy G — 04 Sep 2007
Not a single weak performance in this well-written drama. Joan Allen is superb as the caustic suburban housewife who's permanently pissed 'cos she perceives her husband has run off and deserted her.
Kinda saw the twist comming, but it did not detract from the meat of the movie. Joan Allen is SUPERB, and Kevin Costner gives a credible, if not characteristically "golly-gee-wow", performance as the long-suffering man-child drunk.
A must see.
