Review of The Upside of Anger (2005) by Pam C — 02 Jun 2010
I absolutely love this movie. I have watched it several times. I feel Kevin Cosner did some of his best work in this film and should have been given credit for it. His character is so believable and the chemistry with Joan Allen is wonderful.
Joan Allen is a fantastic actress(and I wish she was in more films today). It is sad and hilarious. Loving and complicated. And with great characters to play, the actors gave it continuity and enriched the story throughout.
I have recommended this film to several people and some tell me they just don't "get it". I'm not sure what exactly draws me to the story, nevertheless ... it's almost the same reaction I had when I first watched "The Graduate".
It's just an exceptional film in my opinion.
