Review of The Unnamable (1988) by Kenny M — 10 Mar 2011
Inexpensively-made, but highly-effective & very loosely-based Lovecraft adaptation, big on creepy tone & atmosphere, less so on characterization & plotline. The remarkable thing (And certainly the most memorable--) about this film is the shreeeeking, naked Albino goat-demoness (Played by the statuesque Katrin Alexandre-) that prowls a sprawling and decrepit mansion, wantonly slaughtering the generally unlikable college riff-raff that decided to party there.
The creature is a surprisingly sympathetic character, as well as being a technically- marvelous creation---you'll really believe this is a real entity--another good choice for any Halloween Party movie marathon--.
