Review of The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988) by Tim C — 07 Feb 2008
I don't know why, but while I watched this movie, I started to think in French, I guess you can call that the Juliette Binoche effect, because I had it throughout the movie. Daniel Day Lewis is excellent as a man living in his sexual fantasy world with Lena Olin and Binoche as his mistresses who share more than just him who wake up to the world after the Prague invasion of 1968 by the Soviet Union.
Passionate, frank, honest, and beautiful.
