Review of The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988) by Bobby B — 10 May 2008
An interesting and sometimes devastating odyssey into love, sex, jealousy, and desperation. This film is one that people might try to easily dismiss, but it is so beautifully well-done and every performance adds something unique to this mosaic-like picture.
If anything is certain, it is the desperation these characters share and how easily it is conveyed and passed onto the viewer. This is undeniably a gripping cinematic achievement.
