Review of The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988) by Mike C — 16 May 2010
Another one I guess I just don't get. I never really felt moved and never really cared about the characters. It's awfully long at three hours. Despite all the bush, and there is a fair amount, the first bit is pretty boring.
It turned politicial and got interesting for a bit, them simmered back into boring. Everyone seems to love it so I feel it's obvious I missed something, but it truly was one of the more bland movies I've seen, especially given it's apparent gravitas.
The one thing I did get: Sabina (Lena Olin) had a remarkable ass 22 years ago.
