Review of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (1964) by Bil A — 23 Aug 2007
Oh so beautiful!!! Hopelessly romantic and gorgeously wallpapered, with dialogue that is completely sung all the way through. Thanks to the fact that the music is written by the great Michel Legrand, it always sounds great.
And how freakin' pretty is Catherine Deneuve? And how freakin' cutiepie hot is Nino Castelnuovo? This movie might be the emotional experience of cotton candy, but it's, like, the Rolls Royce of cotton candy.
