Review of The Two Popes (2019) by Jfrisby — 24 Dec 2019
Great performances by Hopkins and Pryce, but the film really feels like it turns into a fluff-piece-biopic of Pope Francis halfway in (and it cuts to a tv-movie level flashback of his earlier life), and the interesting philosophical conversation between the two basically stops.
Feel like a lot of potential was wasted here, especially after seeing something like The Young Pope.
