Review of The Two Popes (2019) by Mrmonster — 24 Dec 2019
I liked The Two Popes, but I did not love it. On one hand, it is carried by two great performance from Anthony Hopkins and Jonathan Pryce. On the other hand, the film lacks any real depth, it does not do much more to tell us the story of what happened than anyone who watched the news around the time wouldn't already know.
It stops just short of being great by not going the extra mile.
