Review of The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) by Amara N — 18 May 2015
The Twilight books were average, compact with sporadic paragraphs of juicy description, and occasional laugh-out-loud sarcasm. But the movies...
Eugh.
The movies, in spite of the clamor of fans, were down right terrible. Robert Pattinson's lines are delivered clumsily, and it's so cheesy I cringed in my seat. Kristen Stewart is expressionless, and remarkably untalented. The plot is boring, and circulates around a suicidal Bella Swan (the movie version of Bella sets back feminism another two decades.) Edward Cullen is a sickly pale vampire who also happens to be a stalking vampire.
The one star is for the ending, which was mildly engaging. The race to Italy and Victoria's occasional appearances were little packages of action between a whole lot of crap.
I have nothing else good to say about this movie, a rarity. Nothing.
