Review of The Tree of Life (2011) by H. 4 — 21 Feb 2013
The Tree of Life has to be the worst and most overrated movie I have ever seen. About 1/4 of the movie actually showed some sort of story line while the other 3/4 showed clips of the universe and why in the hell was there a dinosaur in one of the clips?? I understand it's trying to be innovated, perhaps push the limits as to what qualifies as art in film, but this definitely goes over the limit.
I waited over 2 hours to see if it would all tie together in the end, but instead I left the movie theatre infuriated and wanting those two hours of my life back. I am convinced that everyone that liked/likes this movie is just trying to follow the crowd.
