Review of The Tree of Life (2011) by Vander A — 07 Dec 2018
There is possibly a story here if you patiently wait for it to be told. Patiently. But there are other venues or ways to tell the story without sitting through this discombobulation. The story is not worth the journey.
Probably both of the tracks in this movie are worthy but they are not put together that you ever appreciate the beautiful photography of the one track and the story and acting in the other. Sadly, the connection is never made so you don't really realize either.
It's a bit bizarre for average movie going fans who just want an interesting story, well told, well acted and worth the 2 hour effort to watch. This isn't it. However well intended I just don't believe it ever connects with itself or the audience.
