An excellent and gripping action/war film from legendary director John Frankenheimer. The performances especially those by Burt Lancaster despite he didn't use an accent, and Paul Scofeld both did excellent work.
The film was well shot in Black and White to. I'm not normally impressed with Black and White but this one was excellent.
