Review of The Train (1964) by Yogesh R — 23 Mar 2009
Bogs down a bit toward the beginning with too much "train porn," and everything with Jeanne Moreau is boring, but once the train actually gets started this turns into a subtle yet masterful dramatization of a true story.
Amazing camerawork and action, with Lancaster doing his own stunts (who needs CGI?), and Paul Scofield makes for a fascinating antagonist. (If you want to see those two actors in an even better action pic, check out "Scorpio.
") Very thought-provoking and confrontational ending.
