This movie ain't gonna win and over anyone who likes anything even mildly unconventional. Even though, at it's heart this is very conventional.
To say the style of this movie is something you really need to stick with is an understatement. Think 24 on speed, or a 90 minutes music video without any music and made by one of the people that used to direct some of the sesame street skits about life in some town.
It's an okay movie. It's something that could take thirty minutes spread over feature length, but it has elements that totally work. Ellen Page obviously works. She's engaging and great with dialogue once again. The story sort of pays off. it sort of takes all the "fragments" and brings it together into something that makes it all makde sense. But unfortunatly it's too late to change my overall opinion of the movie.
Well worth a look see But if you have zero tolerence for experimanal film or even student film, and you have a general distaste for movies about fucked up teens, you ain't gonna take much away with you.
