Review of The Tracey Fragments (2007) by Jeré L — 17 Dec 2008
A little pretentious and fragmented, but hey...it's called "The Tracey Fragments" right? I think the artsy clips and some of the poetry slam-esque crap was...crap, but otherwise, Ellen Page is a bit of a miracle.
Not her best role, I feel personally. But hey. Mostly I was quite depressing and fucked-up...rarely do I want to shut a movie off but there was a couple scenes that just made me angry- both having to do with sexual content- one violent, the other manipulative.
However- the parts that did make sense were a special look at the ignorance behind that special caliber of neglectful parenting and the exemplified results in a young woman who doesn't know how to convince those around of the reality of her existence- not even herself.
