Review of The Tracey Fragments (2007) by Private U — 06 Feb 2009
The story was very intriguing.
I enjoyed how it progressed - it has inspired me to locate the book that it was based on.
Continually, the way the film was edited (spilt screen method), provided the viewer with insight into how Tracey's mind might work.
Which was clever - but may have been more effective if used at critical moments (instead of throughout the entire film).
--This was my second Ellen Page movie of the festival (a complete coincidence).
I had never even heard of her before this festival.
-but I enjoyed her portrayal of Tracey much more than Juno (this role really spoke to her talents).
