Review of The Tingler (1959) by Simon L — 22 Jul 2007
Suspense...Terror...A bit over-the-top--Vincent Price must be somewhere nearby!
True to form, Price is superb as Dr. Warren Chapin, a pathologist who discovers a deadly creature that feeds upon fear.
If you can disregard the rather "cheesey" depiction of the Tingler creature itself, the film is quite enjoyable and certainly not without a message.
It would have been interesting to see this movie with director William Castle's "Percepto!" gimmick.
