I'm glad I don't remember the book in a lot of detail -- I don't think any movie could come up to par with it. Quite the touching romance nonetheless. Imagine living with the knowledge of when and how you or your loved one will die....Makes you treasure what you have a bit more.
As a side note, the daughter is splendid -- does a perfect job of diminishing the sorrow of it all.
