Review of The Tillman Story (2010) by Thomas W — 26 Jan 2011
Pat Tillman (an interesting man who enjoyed Chomsky and was an agnostic) was a pro footballer in the NFL but chose to enlist with his brother and leave a multi-million-dollar contract on the table. After he was killed in somewhat "foggy" circumstances in Afgahanistan the army tried to turn his death in to a recruitment add against the wishes of him and his family.
Disturbing look at how an unpopular war is been sold to the American people with people in power conviniently "forgetting" the facts when an opportunity rises to create a hero for the public.
