Review of The Three Lives of Thomasina (1963) by Jack Y — 17 Aug 2007
Four stars. There is a considerable amount of awwwwww factor here, especially if you are a cat lover. The main character, Thomasina, is a cat, of course. It is set in early 20th-century Scotland, and gives a wonderful portrayal of rural and small town life, as seen through the eyes of a cat.
It also addresses animal welfare issues, including circus cruelty. It is a great movie for cat-lovers of any age, as well as for those who love things Scottish. Well-acted and nicely portrayed.
