Review of The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) by Tim F — 10 Apr 2010
Wauw, tommy Lee Jones realy showed what he got with this one. I would even say its nearly as good as In the electric mist or even No country for old men!! The film goes back and forth making the actions of people more and more intresting and so the plot.
The only way I could realy see when something occured before the events is the hairdue, Tommy's beard or January's curled hair. The spanish and all the rest gives it the original touch, its a rather lonely movie, but the silence says everything and the more certain scenes get thru.
The actual quest is a long, hard journey where mostly Barry shines out in the acting, and you see the crazyness wherefor Tommy has a heart out. Great!
