Review of The Third Man (1949) by Maarrk H — 11 Apr 2009
My mother was born the year before this was filmed, in the very streets of Vienna on which she was raised. A note-perfect film that somehow, in our family at least, has come to stand for a little piece of our personal history.
(Incidentally, the first time I saw it all the way through was actually in Vienna, at the little theatre that shows it every weekend).
