Review of The Thing (2011) by Raymond W — 08 Nov 2012
As indebted as the prequel to John Carpenter's 1982 cult classic of the same name is...hell -- it might as well be considered a remake -- it isn't terrible; the characters are undefined but easy to follow and while CGI has replaced Stan Winston's sick puppetry it not only looks competitive but the all-around feel of the film is in lockstep with its nearly 30-year-old predecessor making "The Thing" (2011) something of a rarity.
