This is a pretty bad movie. The lead actress and lead actor were alright. The monster looked stupid and laughable. I'll admit I have never seen the original, but sounds like that used suspense and tension not gore, special effects, or jump scares.
The ending wasn't too bad actually but I didn't really enjoy this movie much at all and won't spend anymore time thinking about it.
