Under-rated at this point, as this remains true to the spirit and continuity of John Carpenter's Thing. It neither surpasses nor falls short of its predecessor (though lacks the charm granted by the practical effects of the J.
C. version) but this will probably have to serve its time on the late night TV circuit before audiences will give it credit.
