Review of The Thing (2011) by Felipe A — 05 Feb 2016

Better than expected, have watchet it 3 times and always as scary, cgi monsters look great, but of course, yes, I know the original is superior but this one has its charm too, might not be a masterpiece, and many if not most people will always prefer the practical effects of the original, but you know? as a movie, as a prequel and as an attemps it did what many others havent been able to, im sure all the negative reviews are from fans too outdated, the original was better, yes, but comparing everything wont make the former greater, I give it 4/5 stars because as I said I still think the original is superior, but this one deserves every praise it can get, and not just for trying.
