Review of The Thing (1982) by Matt C — 25 Feb 2014
Considerably better than the recent remake (not saying much). I was pretty sure I'd already seen this but then actually I don't think I have. The opening 45mins is brilliant, really ratcheting up the tension and slowly revealing what it going on at the remote ice station.
It gets a little daft towards the end with too many explosions and shouting but the creature effects still pee on any modern day CGI rubbish. A B Movie classic.
