This movie has amazing tension, practical effects (for the time), and the monsters all throughout are genuinely terrifying. The characters are intriguing and they're actually smart. This makes a nice change of pace form they typical dumb movie protagonist.
This movie is so mysterious it's still being theorized about today. The Thing is a great movie that everyone should watch at least once.
