Review of The Thing (1982) by John A — 15 Sep 2015
John Carpenter's directorial skills are on top form with this sci-fi horror. One of Carpenter's best films, the thing is closely adapted from its source material & follows a group of american scientists as they battle a shape-shifting alien in the Antarctic.
this is a nicely contained claustrophobic horror, which features a great screenplay, script, cast performances, music, tension & atmosphere.
