This movie is a prime example of the intense effectiveness that practical effects have over CGI. This horror piece has visuals much more disturbing and haunting than nearly anything you'll see nowadays.
With a haunting premise and fantastic execution, The Thing is not a movie you're likely to forget anytime soon.
