Review of The Thin Red Line (1998) by Abraham S — 07 Feb 2014
One of the best, if not the best, war film I have seen. The Thin Red Line strove to be more than a film and whether or not it reached that goal is measured through the experiences viewers have with it.
For me, it transcended the screen. The philosophical ruminations and thought provoking ideas raised by the Thin Red Line are enough to entertain even the most indulgent of intellectuals, and the crisply scripted action sequences are so engrossing that it can even keep the attention of a Michael Bay fan.
I loved it. A slow moving, action packed film with just the right amount of philosophical abstract to reach a sort of nirvana.
