Review of The Thin Man (1934) by Vidal H — 14 Jul 2008
A classic detective mystery film, with William Powell and Myrna Loy as the two endearing, entertaining and alarmingly alcoholic detectives. Five sequels was a bit much for this film; the first two were excellent, but by the fourth it begins to wear a bit thin.
But nothing beats the hilarious dialogue between Powell and Loy (as well as Powell and everybody else) which really makes this film a winner for me.
