Review of The Thin Man (1934) by Rob S — 11 Jun 2012
Urbane and incredibly witty, I doubt there's anything I can say that hasn't been said thousands of times before. Powell and Loy's chemistry is remarkable, I could watch them chit chat for hours and not be bored.
This first outing for the franchise is a tad slow to start, with a few other slow moments sprinkled throughout, but the overall product makes such moments excusable. Loy's Nora could be allowed a bit more screen time, but perhaps it would tarnish the shine of her already glorious appearances.
