Review of The Thin Man (1934) by Paul B — 06 Aug 2009
Very solid film throughout. The 80% is only due to the somewhat normal who-done-it plot and story movement.
Nick and Nora (main characters) have one of the best husband/wife 'tongue-in-cheek' relationships I've ever seen in film. Their dialogue really makes the movie and can see why many more "Thin Man" sequels were made afterward. It's impossible not to enjoy the drinking Nick and dramatic Nora.
The story itself is fun to watch unfold and the cast of characters thoroughly enjoyable.
Not much else to say; enjoy.
