Review of The Ten Commandments (1956) by Linda M — 05 Aug 2011
Yes, this film seems to be having a lot of cliches. Yes, there might be a slight sense of awkwardness owing to the cast being largely American(it was usual to have a few English actors in such films). But the result is a solid entertainer with praiseworthy performances.
The handling of the great biblical story may have been told in a less sinewy and more purer way, but all of these are proved superficial. An all time classic which has the power to endure the tests of time.
