Review of The Tall Man (2012) by Tim P — 27 Dec 2012
As previous people have mentioned in their reviews, the movie has a lot of twists and turns and you are constantly guessing what is going to happen next. However, this film does a huge twist on the audience and not in a good way. While I was expecting a supernatural flick - admittedly a bad one - I was unpleasantly surprised to find out that it had nothing to do with paranormal or supernatural forces.
However, the setting was great (very Alan Wake/Silent Hill/Twin Peaks) and the fact that the story actually had a good moral is what saved it for me. I do enjoy people doing radical and "bad" things for the right reason because it forces you to ask the question: How far will you go to do the right thing? Of course, the right thing is in the eye of the beholder and this isn't a philosophical forum.
But, it should not have been classified as horror.
