Review of The Tall Man (2012) by Dillon J — 17 Feb 2015
This movie attempts to piggyback on the concept of Slenderman... however, this movie is not creepy, supernatural or anything else that Slenderman is or would be. The name is a scam first and foremost.
This movie was honestly just offensive to anyone with any intelligence. It tried very hard to be mysterious but was about as subtle as a shotgun. It was very drawn out and boring, teasing an ending several times,, but the worst part is the end.
Without spoiling it... the movie attempts to throw a big twist with some morally powerful message.... instead the message was incredibly morally offensive and shallow. Anyone with half a brain should be offended at the attempted moral of the story.

The massive twist... Jessica Biel is helping the "bad guy" kidnap these kids from "bad" homes and gives them to "good" homes. However, most of these "bad" homes are just low income, and the "good" homes are just rich ones.
So the moral high ground they tried to attempt about saving children, is really just.... If you are not rich, you are a horrible parent, and a rich family should raise your child..... wow... just wow.
It gets half a star extra cuz we get to look at Jessica Biel.
