Review of The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974) by Iain M — 18 Jun 2009
Having been made in a time before action movie cliches and computer generated assistance, this is a very effective thriller that grabs your attention from the very first shots and never lets go until the final "achoo.".
I liked Tony Scott's remake better not just because I saw it first, but because the two leads created a bond through the altercation. In this original, it's just a good guy and a bad guy who discuss business over the microphone, and never really learn anything about each other.
