(1974) The Taking of Pelham One Two Three.
ACTION THRILLER.
Adapted from the John Godey novel involving a group of armed men headed by Robert Shaw as Blue hijacking a NYC subway station for a million dollar ransom. Police Lt. Zachary Garber played by Walter Matthau is the person in charge of the negotiations always trying to stay one step ahead of them. Action set pieces are very well done as well as the development of the characters.
