Review of The Tailor of Panama (2001) by Rob S — 25 Feb 2009
One of the best spy films of the decade about a Tailor with a shady past and a knack for bullshit, and a disgraced British Agent with an eye for woman and an utter lack of morals, and the damage that results when the two meet.
Geoffrey Rush as the Tailor and Pierce Brosnan as the Agent are two of the most interesting characters two grace the screen, well Jaimie Lee Curtis, Brendan Gleeson and Catherine McCormack give strong support.
Brosnan steals the show as the immoral Osnard one of the few characters in receint film history thats allowed to be a right bastard, proud of it and yet still come off as real. I'd lov to see a sequal/prequal focusing on Brosnans character providing they don't soften him.
There's not enough movies based around proper bastards:P.
