Review of The Tailor of Panama (2001) by Stefano L — 17 Jan 2013
A great story, a poor film. Technically is amazing, cut, set, photography, everything. Also Geoffrey Rush is amazing in his role, as always. By the way: have I ever mentioned that in some periods of my life I always watch, unadvertedly, movies with the same actor? because probably I'm in Rush's period now...
Well, coming back to the movie: really disturbed me the attitude of Pierce Brosnan for all the lasting of the film. I'm the cool guy, I'm able to do everything and you not, so shut up and let me do it. And, although very nice, I also disliked the acting of Catherine McCormack. She fucked, or she danced in an awful way, or she said monosyllabical words just because she had to say something during to be paid, probably.
Well...I really enjoyed the story, but because was entertaining and thrilling, but I wouldn't watch again this movie, because the actors didn't convinced me for a moment of what they were doing.
I give it a positive mark, only because, in the technical parts, I found it perfect.
