Review of The Strange Love of Martha Ivers (1946) by Daniel K — 19 Jun 2012
3: I'm a huge Lizabeth Scott fan (8x10 glossy photos and everything), so this fairly run-of-the-mill film noir gets a thumbs up in my book. It certainly isn't Stanwyck's of Douglas's best performance, but they both carry it off well enough.
The main issue I have with the film is that I can't seem to match up the adult characters with the children. I feel like they do this better today. Still, a noir is a noir and it is worth seeing.
