Review of The Strange Love of Martha Ivers (1946) by Eeva H — 21 Dec 2007
The opening scenes are weird, but once you get into the story it flows so well in the typical noir fashion; suspicions and misunderstandings abound, and a love triangle between a drifter, a drunk, and a femme fatale adds to the drama.
Van Heflin, Barbara Stanwyck and Kirk Douglas work well together, and the result is a damn good movie.
